Talia

At midday we sat in the living room: Mum, Dad, Jeremy, Benjy and I, and only you were missing.

The situation of the family without you is utterly inconceivable. At every family event, in Israel and abroad, you were always there.

You gave each person their own special attention. You telephoned us, your brothers, several times each week, and there was not a single Friday evening when we did not receive a telephone call from you.

Your nephews always received so much warmth and love from you, and Mum and Dad were so proud of you.

And, of course, your friends. You had so many friends from every corner of the country, from the Golan to the Negev.

About a month ago, you appeared before a Knesset committee to explain psoriasis in young people. Afterwards, you were even interviewed about it on the radio. You felt such pride and such a sense of mission, and we are so proud of you!

You had amazing abilities, both socially and organisationally. You always knew how to arrange an event perfectly and with great care, and you did not let go or give up until you achieved your aim.

In recent months, you set yourself a new goal: higher education at university. You excelled in your matriculation examinations and planned to study social work. You wanted to help people!

That was your essence: helping others. You were always there for your friends, at any time and in any place, without thinking of yourself, but of your friends and family.

You were in an amazing period of blossoming in every part of your life. You were happy and walked forwards with your head held high towards a bright future.

You were taken too soon. The world had not yet tasted enough of you...

Talia, we love you so much.

You were like a typhoon. Wherever you entered, you did so in a storm, leaving a deep impression upon everyone around you.

As you entered in a storm, so too you left us...

May your soul be bound in the bond of life.
