Hascara

Talia – I look around at so many faces, so many
friends, family, Jeremy, Benjy, Doron,
Mummy …….. so many tears….so many kaddishim …..Why? Why? Why ???

21 years together smashed apart by a reckless army
ambulance driver.

Yes, I am angry - there are 17 associations working for
road safety & 500 fatalities but there is still no money to set up a
separate road safety authority.

We all miss you terribly, your bounding enthusiasm to
enjoy life , to celebrate & make everyone happy, the birthdays and half
birthdays you celebrated on both Hebrew & loassi
dates–you had so much to give & so much to live for .

You had faith, you had found a treatment to control your psoriatic
arthritis & you started to study & at last to show your true
potential.

Well one careless mistake by someone else changed everything.

However you know something Talia – we will not let your
memory be erased into the dust. For
“they that sow in tears shall reap in Joy”

As Jenny my sister said you will stay forever young
because we shall build a living memorial in your memory to bring joy to many
children.

I remember how in the last year of your life you would
come home exhausted from Midreshet Nov or from the Mcllala in Ariel & sink into an armchair in front of the
television with pasta & tomato sauce. Or how you would rush before
Shabbat to concoct your version of Gail’s chocolate mousse which you so much
adored to make for us.

I look around at all these graves of people who have
lived out their lives to the full & I wonder with many around me where
G-d was on that fateful March morning. I now know it is a question we cannot answer.
We say Barooch Dayan Emet .

Talia, you may not be with us physically but your soul
will be with us forever.

Marilyn & I will always have 4 children even though
we always have to explain where you are to the security staff when we fly
overseas from Ben Gurion airport.

We shall give our grandchildren the hugs with which you left us.

We shall never forget you.
