A Letter to Her Friends at Nov

I sat in front of the computer for a long time, wondering what to write to you,

This is the end of one period and the beginning of a new one.

We experienced many things together...

Driving to Katzrin (to the Savta pub, Burger Ranch, pizza, or simply to withdraw money), to Hamat Gader, Hispin, or just driving around and spending another lunch break together.

During the first month of the academic year, when I travelled to a cousin’s wedding and asked you to write things for me to read on the flight, I shall never forget those amazing letters. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

Also the barbecue and Liat’s surprise party in Haifa; the birthday celebrations for Sherman (Princess to me for ever and always) and for Shimrit in Katzrin; the guitars that were played endlessly at the Midrasha (with the help of Esti, Michal and others); the film at Landes’s; the spontaneous “hop” to Mount Hermon (Landes, Tanya and Oriya); the outing to the Iris Pool (by the way, thank you for persuading me to come!); the Shabbat when the flats exchanged mishloach manot; the Purim party; the trip to the wadi (with Liat, Naomi Miller and Adva); and, of course, the Belgian girls who came to visit us on Independence Day.

I shall not forget Gush Katif for a very long time either — how I arrived and discovered, to my sorrow, that the Nov bus had turned back towards the Golan at Kissufim.

Sadly, I did not experience Shavuot and the preparations for Parents’ Shabbat with you, but I want to tell everyone that the Shabbat was amazing, and well done for organising it.

It is strange for me to think that the year has passed and will never return,

I came to the Midrasha as a daughter in a family with three brothers and as the only daughter. I am leaving the Midrasha with three brothers and twenty-five sisters. For that, thank you to every one of you — for being there for me through all the difficult times and crises, and also through the good times.

In one sentence — I hope that the friendship between us will remain and be preserved for ever, and that we shall never forget everyone who went through one of the most beautiful years of our lives with us!

Take care of yourselves and keep in touch.

I love you all to bits,

Talia
